OUR BEGINNING

2023 will be remembered as the year the South Carolina Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects was established, but the work that went into achieving this milestone began many years before.

The South Carolina chapter of the AIA launched an Equity Committee, which was able to gather passionate design professionals around our great state. Together we grew in fellowship as we pulled the necessary resources and contacts to build out the by-laws to form the foundation of this chapter.

With the guidance of NOMA National and our sister chapters in Atlanta and North Carolina, and AIA South Carolina, our journey was embraced with support and encouragement.

We still have so much great work ahead of us, but together we will continue achieve great things as individuals and as a professional organization.
